We've all become accustomed to the World Wide Web, an Internet of connected files and documents, but not many people have heard about The Internet of Things which uses the infrastructure of the Internet and mobile networks to create a web of connections between devices and systems.A popular definition: M2M uses a device (sensor, meter, etc.) to capture an 'event' (temperature, inventory level etc.) which is relayed through a network (wireless, wired or hybrid) to an application (e.g. web application), that translates the captured event into meaningful information (e.g. items need to be restocked).
